Fall Update: What’s Coming to Hemlock Inn in 2024

Friends and guests,

Here is a brief update on Hemlock Inn and our plans for 2024! We are excited to continue to serve you all and provide a hospitable, warm, and beautiful place for your vacation and retreat next year and beyond. Here are a few key updates to our 2024 plans:

-We have decided to keep the name Hemlock Inn. (We had previously announced a change to “The Hemlock.”)

-We are excited to move forward with an increased focus on groups and Christian retreats starting next year. Though our main focus will continue to be welcoming nightly individual guests and families all year.

-Mort and Lainey White are staying on as innkeepers and owners and, as planned, will continue to live on-site.

-Plans to restore Thomas Chapel are taking shape! We hope to begin work at the beginning of the year and, God willing, make it available in 2024. Andrew Hove, our non-profit’s Director of Development, will oversee this project.

-Our non-profit entity is also thrilled to begin funding affordable retreat experiences next year for churches and groups who might otherwise be unable to retreat at Hemlock Inn.

-As already announced, beginning next year, Andrew White is taking on an increased operational role at Hemlock Inn as well as offering new retreat and group opportunities at the inn.

-The search for an on-site inn “manager” or “innkeeper” is ongoing. If you are interested in learning more about that role, get in touch!

We can’t wait to see you again soon.

-Mort, Lainey, John, and Andrew
